What’s in for 2025.

2–4 minutes

If my 2024 has to be summarized into a word, that would be “reinvention”. I started the year completely at a loss of what to do. With my career going nowhere, I explored several possible pathways I could take. Many of which led me to dead-ends with little or no open doors. However, the Lord has been gracious and patient towards me. I was led into the world of coaching in August 2024 and it has radically changed my perspective in life. For the first time since a long time, I found myself looking forward to something. In every coaching session, I not only have the opportunity to bring value to my client, I also learn about how life is like at various corners of the world. Through coaching, I am able to enhance my knowledge on what the human experience entail. Though the commitment is high, the value I get out of coaching far outweigh the effort I put into it. All these blessings cannot be possible if not for you, my fellow clients, trusting me with your real and genuine struggles. I cannot say how privileged and honoured I am to be able to partner with you in this journey.

As we enter into 2025, I am excited to share that I will be taking my coaching journey to the next level. Below are my plans for the upcoming 6 months!

  • Dec 2024 — I’m officially a member of the ICF!
  • Jan 2025 — I will be attending a training to be a certified scrum master.
  • Feb 2025 / Mar 2025 — Scrum master assessment.
  • Mar 2025 — Completion of my 100 hours!
  • Mar 2025 / Apr 2025 — ICF ACC assessment.
  • May 2025 / Jun 2025 — Launching my professional coaching practice.

This year, by the grace of God, I aim to take my coaching practice to a new level. I will be working on improving myself and getting all necessary certifications so that I can provide better services for my clients. To achieve this goal, I will be opening my coaching slots to enable you, my readers, to join me in my journey! As we progress, I will also be opening more channels where you may share with me what might benefit you in your journey of self-improvement. I understand that the coaching world is massive. So, if you have any questions, do feel free to ask! I will do my best to find the answers out and respond.

Thus far, only quarter 1 and 2 are planned for my 2025. My plans for quarter 3 and 4 are still rather vague and is heavily dependent on my achievements in quarter 1 and 2. But if God wills, it is my prayer that quarter 3 and 4 will be as fruitful as quarter 1 and 2 as I make my finishing touches to my season of self-improvement before embracing the next season in my life. We can plan all we want, but it is God who establishes our steps (See Proverbs 16:9). These are my plans. And it is my prayer that God establishes all of these and make it fruitful!

    1. Thanks for your kind words! Happy to find a fellow coach here! Are you also an ICF trained coach?

      1. Actually, I am not. I am addiction and recovery certified through Arcs to Freedom. Not biblically based, so I joined iccicoaching.com. The International Christian Coaching Institute. They certify as a Christian life coach. I also got certified in CBT, cognitive behavior therapy. I consistently learn and relearn how to help others. When I checked into ICF, I couldn’t afford it. Education and training on this path is not cheap.

      2. You are right. It ain’t cheap. And I’m very blessed to be in a country that has an ICF credentialing course that is significantly sponsored. Else I’ll likely not start as a coach. If you’d like, you can connect with me via my email simchenxing@gmail.com.

Not sure if you practice peer coaching — a practice where coaches coach one another and learn from each others’ styles and practices. If you do, I’d love to arrange a time with you to learn how different a certified christian life coach with icci differ from ICF.
